Dr. Jack Cotlar is the former VP and Medical Director of Indianapolis Life Insurance Company, part of the AmerUs Life Insurance Group. He had served in this role in Indianapolis from 1995 through February, 2007. Dr. Cotlar is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Insurance Medicine. He was in clinical medicine for 15 years, before becoming Medical Director for Indianapolis Life. Jack has been active in both the American Academy of Insurance Medicine (AAIM) and the American Council of Life Insurance (ACLI). He was part of the faculty for the Triennial in 2003 and in 2006, AAIM's educational programs for Medical Directors. In addition, he served on the Board of Insurance Medicine which is the committee that prepares and administers the insurance medicine board examination to Medical Directors who qualify for taking the exam.
